How to fix my internet connection?

like a week my internet connection started slow down, I mean my computer works fine mine but something is wrong with my internet connection. sometimes I have to wait until the connection comes back, can't download anything , youtube and other website videos won't stop buffering and play or won't play at all. I tried everything but I don't know what else to do. using a black modem box to connect! can anyone help?
